Google's new Custom Search Engine (Google CSE) program enables website owners to define their own search engines. CSE provides adeceptively simple form-based interface for building a domain-specificsearch engine on top of the Google search platform. This means that the builder gets to focus on selecting valuable content and tuning theranking criteria, while Google does all the "heavy lifting" ofcrawling, indexing, ranking, and displaying results.

The main task of building a CSE is to determine which sites/URLs(including flexible URL patterns) are searched, and to define a set ofrules that guide the ranking of results. Specifically, the CSE programallows four major methods for altering the search results:

  1. Which sites will be included in the displayed results
  2. Sites whose ranking should be raised
  3. Sites whose ranking should be lowered
  4. Sites which should be excluded from the results
OraclePoint is now enpowered with Google Custome Search. Please take look at it at the bottom of webpage. We'd like to offer this feature to help our members have more forused search experience from a list of valuable oracle-related web resources.

For now, the following sites are the target source of this custom search engine.

If youm would like to recommend other web resources, please send PM to bmadmin. Thanks.
