Yesterday, I came aross a free TraceAnalyzer tool for Oracle.

It’s published by Dominic Giles at http://www.dominicgiles.com/traceanalyzer.html.

It can be easily used without steps of installation. but, you need to change the file traceanalyzer.bat after extraction to suit for your machine environment.

My settting on that file look like following.

set JAVAHOME=C:\Program Files\java\jdk1.5.0_11

set TRACEANALYZER=C:\temp\traceanalyzer
“%JAVAHOME%\bin\java” -Xmx500m -jar %TRACEANALYZER%\traceanalyzer.jar

There are other two freeware offered by Dominic Giles. 

SwingBench -- a free load generator (and benchmarks) designed to stress test an Oracle database (9i or 10g).  

Datagenerator --  a utility to populate,create and load tables with semi random data.
